With 20 years experience producing medical diagrams and animations for global clients in print, TV and education the team are here to simplify the process of engaging a medical illustrator. Medical and scientific illustration and animation doesn't have to be expensive as many researchers perceive, and the right approach can make all the difference to your budget and the end result. 

Researchers are now, more so than ever, expected to present their research to a wider audience, in particular when publishing to journals, magazines and quality online channels. Images are used to tell stories with some decisions being made about publishing based on the variety of visual content you can provide. Visual communication can increase engagement with your work, ensure clarity of message and attract the attention of your intended audience.

PART 1 - LEARNING GOALS

• Defining the image/animation goals
• Understanding the audience
• Considering budget
• Collecting and interpret stakeholder input
• Writing the brief
• Planning the schedule
• Reviewing the work
• Distributing the work

PART 2 - PRESENT YOUR IDEA, WIN IT!

Practice what you've learnt in the session by presenting your brief to the audience and ABP team. We will select a winner who will win that brief, completed by the team at ABP. 

How To Enter

Practice what you’ve learnt by presenting your own brief for the chance to win your idea. 5 people will have the chance to spend 3 minutes delivering their brief to the audience. The winner will have their illustration or animation created for them by the ABP team.

To enter please reply to the email sent to all TRI occupants before 25 September with a summary, of no more than 250 words, explaining the illustration or animation you would like the team to produce for you. Consider options like a piece of collateral which can be reused across your papers or online promotion, or a single use animation to submit to an online journal or media outlet. We will notify the 5 selected winners by email 1 week prior to the event.
