Mental Health First aid Training

We are currently inviting members of the TRI Community to become trained in Mental Health First Aid (MHFA).

Using a practical, skills-based action plan, participants will learn the skills to recognise and respond to someone experiencing a mental health problem or mental health crisis, until professional help is received, or the crisis resolves.

Equipped with the skills to listen, connect, and offer support when it matters most, MHFAiders play a vital role in reducing stigma and promoting pathways to support those experiencing mental health problems in our workplaces, homes and communities.

After completing the training, participants may be invited to join the OneTRI Mental Health Champions Network. Our champions act as role models, raise awareness, help destigmatize mental health issues and can refer TRI staff and students to appropriate support services.
