A new program offered by TRI and Metro South Health

TRI and Metro South Health are pleased to offer a new program designed to give researchers the opportunity to be present in the hospital and observe the healthcare environment. 

Through the Scientists in the Clinic program, researchers will:

Observe different clinical activities, including outpatient consults, multi-disciplinary meetings and clinical trials.
Icon 2
Better understand the clinical issues surrounding their research and gain insights into the delivery of patient care.
Icon 3
Connect with clinicians and establish partnerships for collaborations.
Icon 4
Better integrate research and clinical care to ensure improved patient outcomes.

Potential Program Activities

  • Multi-disciplinary and clinical meetings/discussions with members of the clinical team
  • Outpatient Clinics
  • Ward Rounds
  • Clinical Trial Clinics
  • Other provision of care in the hospital – e.g. clinical imaging and delivery of radiotherapy and chemotherapy
