WINDOW TO THE WORLD

The festive season in Australia is kicked off by one of our largest retailers, Myer, with the "Myer Christmas Window" display launched in every city in the last week of November. It has become a tradition for families to visit, taking in a story told through a series of scenes in their glass window display areas.

Australian summer hits right in the middle of our festive season and the health issues experienced by Australians during this time are very different to our international friends. We want to tell TRI's festive story through a translational health message in our own glass display window, and we need your help to do it.

TRI's favourite C word is Collaboration, so of course the rules of our contests are generally the same - representatives from at least 3 partners and a health question sourced directly from a clinician. This contest could be used to build relationships, practice an idea or launch a new project - it just has to meet the TRI goals of collaboration and translational research.

1) Gather a team from 3+ tri partners

2) include a clinician with a festive health message or question

3) sketch or mock up your window display idea

4) tell us how the $5000 prize will be put towards solving the problem

5) submit your application online

The glass display window will be broken into 4 sections, 2 digital TV screens per section, with 4 finalists selected from the submissions. Your display will be a combination of 2 digital panels, which we can help you with, and the physical space in front of the panels. You can use scientific equipment, photos, props - whatever you can find to tell your festive health story in a visually appealing way.
