2017 Translational Poster symposium - Abstract Submissions

TRI invites all translational researchers, clinicians, collaborators and allied health professionals at any stage of your research career to submit an abstract to our full day translational research showcase. You will have the opportunity to present your work verbally to our audience or display a poster for a chance to win prizes. 

Please note, submissions officially closed on the 18th May. Late submissions will be accepted until Friday 26th May. 

Personal Details

The 2017 Translational Poster Symposium is open to all translational medical researchers, including those based at TRI and those based at other universities, clinics, research institutes, hospitals or allied health providers. The only requirement is that your research work must be translational - that is, driven by a clinical question with a possible clinical application.

Abstract Details

Please assist our judges by ensuring author and affiliation details are entered using the example format provided
Max 250 words. Please ensure abstract is structured as follows: Background, Aim, Methods, Results, Conclusion
Max 150 words. Describe how this project has been driven by a clinical problem and how the outcomes could improve human health.
You can present your translational research work in multiple ways at the Translational Poster Symposium. You could present your work as an 8 minute verbal presentation in our 250 seat auditorium, or display your work on an A0 printed poster in the poster hall. Community groups will also be in attendance so if your poster is suitable for a general audience you may wish to display it in the community section after science poster judging is complete. Please select any or all options that suit your work and we will select the most suitable submissions for each section.

Prize Categories

Would you like your abstract to be considered for the Research Excellence Awards as part of PA Week? If yes, your abstract will be forwarded to the PA Week committee for judging. Please note, forwarding your abstract to be considered for the PA Week Research Excellence Awards does not guarantee acceptance of your abstract.
