TRI Media Training Workshop

TRI's Media Training Workshop will help researchers improve their media performance.

Australian Science Media Centre senior media officer and former biologist Dr Joe Milton will take up to 50 researchers though storytelling techniques that can also be applied to stakeholder engagement, funding applications, public presentations and outreach activities. He will cover ways to explain complex science to general audiences, including use of imagery, analogy and simile, to help build science and health literacy in the community.

The workshop will help researchers understand why media work is important for their careers, how the media landscape is changing, and what it means for public discourse.
