TRI BUILDING AWARDS
Designed by Wilson Architects+Donovan Hill, architects in association, and constructed by Watpac, the TRI building has received a number of building and design awards. The progressive development incorporates both practical functionality and visual beauty which have seen it awarded the following accolades.
2015 AWARDS
The TRI building has now evolved from a new architectural masterpiece to a solid, established landmark on the Brisbane horizon delivering translational medical research to the Brisbane. Media kudos for this amazing space continues, 3 years after completion.

Nominated by UQ's Professor Sandra Kaji-O'Grady, head of the UQ School of Architecture. “It’s got a level of coherence of detail externally and internally — none of the faces are forgotten, not even back of house faces — everything is beautifully put together with a very consistent formal aesthetic,” Kaji-O’Grady said. “They have made a gorgeous outdoor room for the scientists and their visitors,” she said. “I think it’s really important that workplaces are beautiful — for the scientists going there every day it’s a very restful and very lively place. It’s so elegantly detailed.”
