Melbourne Cup Day Clean-up and Lunch

TRI is organising a Clean Up day on Tuesday 3 November 2014. Clean Up day was a huge success last year and your participation again this year will be greatly appreciated.

This event is sponsored by TRI, MMRI, UQDI and QUT.

This is an opportunity for all building occupants to get involved and spring-clean the offices, kitchenettes and lab areas and make them look spick and span again.

All building occupants that participate in the ‘big clean’ are invited to enjoy a lunch provided by TRI in the Atrium at 1pm.

The lunch will be followed by the screening of the Melbourne cup race at 2pm in the auditorium. And for something new a $50 catalyst voucher prize will be awarded in the auditorium just after the race for the best male and female pimped safety glasses!

Important things to keep in mind:

• Prizes for the best-dressed Male and Female pimped safety glasses! Make sure you’re dressed up and wearing your Race Day finest & complimenting pimped glasses! Have fun looking through Pinterest for all your pimping ideas!
• Please clear your schedules of non-essential work to help give your lab and/or office areas a comprehensive clean.
• Make sure you communicate with other staff members on your floor when discussing the clean-up of kitchenettes (this will need forward planning). Ensure that fridge/freezers and microwaves are given special attention.
• Please co-ordinate with other labs on your floor to ensure all communal lab areas and equipment are cleaned up.
• If you need any additional cleaning material please see one of the floor managers and they will be able to arrange it for you.
