PTSD Forum 2015
This first ever International Forum for PTSD will feature Plenary and Concurrent/Technical sessions presented by International and Australian leaders in the PTSD field. The Preliminary Program is available on the website.
"Ever since Gallipoli, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) in the Military seems to have flown under the radar or been
largely ignored and very much misunderstood. Back then the condition was known as Shell Shock and it was even
thought to be a physical condition. Later on in World War II, it was known as War Neurosis. It wasn’t until the 1980’s,
after The Vietnam War, following some research did it acquire its present name."
TRI CEO Presentation
Professor Carolyn Mountford, TRI CEO, will be presenting at 3pm Friday on the subject of imaging as a diagnostic and management tool for PTSD. The presentation "Can we image PTSD & is Radiomics the future of PTSD Management" will focus on knowledge which is now being brought to Australia through the TRI.
