About the workshop
The mentoring session will support individuals to prepare for, identify, build and close an enjoyable and beneficial mentoring relationship. The workshop will provide evidence-based, practical approaches required to build effectiveness in the role as a mentor.
The session will cover:
- What mentoring is and is not
- The benefits of mentoring for mentors and mentees
- The stages of a successful mentoring relationship (including, how to best facilitate effective mentoring outcomes)
- The capabilities and success factors of successful mentors
ABOUT WORKSHOP FACILITATOR JODEE ALLANSON
Jodee Allanson is an Organisational Psychologist, who has been practicing in the field for over 20 years and is an endorsed supervisor for new psychology registrants. Jodee has worked in a number of industries including health, education, road and rail transport, sport and recreation, primary industries, public administration and allied health. In these industries Jodee has worked in the public sector, consultancy, non-profit and tertiary sector.
Jodee has also presented at numerous national and international conferences on a range of organisational psychology, leadership and organisational development areas. Jodee holds two positions at the University of Queensland in Organisational Development and School of Psychology. She is currently supporting postgraduates interns working in the non-profit sector as a senior psychologist and supervisor.
