We welcomed almost 300 people to our community event on Saturday 17 May, 2014. Participants enjoyed guided tours of the research happening at TRI and of the building itself. Some of Australia’s leading medical researchers talked about research innovations in the treatment of cancer, diabetes, inflammatory diseases, HIV, malaria, bone and joint diseases and obesity. Those interested in the impressive structure of TRI enjoyed an in-depth presentation from TRI architects in Association; Damian Eckersley from Donovan Hill and Michael Hartwich from Wilson Architects.
