Liver Networking Breakfast
Richard Skoien and Elizabeth Powell are organising a networking liver workshop on the topic of “Palliative Care in Cirrhosis” on Tuesday 26th April 7.30 – 9am, at TRI.
The purpose of the workshop is to bring together Brisbane liver researchers and clinicians, showcase what is going on in the field, and open opportunities for communication and collaboration. This workshop will examine the palliative care needs of our patients as well as some of the specific issues encountered when managing malignancy and end-of-life decisions in patients with advanced liver disease.
The format will be 4-5 short (~10 min) presentations from clinicians with expertise in palliative care, as well as focussed questions/discussion with a panel from community experts, priority/consumer groups and researchers.
