PhD program for radiographers at TRI
To build upon the ongoing work in advanced imaging technologies, the Translational Research Institute (TRI) and Queensland University of Technology (QUT) have awarded PhD scholarships to four radiographers to support their world-leading research.
Industry interface with Siemens Healthineers
An integral part of this post-graduate training program is the interface with global medical devices developer and manufacturer Siemens Healthineers. Siemens collaboration scientist, Dr Thomas Gaass, is available for collaboration, enabling the students the opportunity to develop their skills on the platfrom.
The overall goal is to develop the product for implementation in multi-centre tirals. The students have had the opportunity to collaborate with various experts in their field. Natali Naude is working with surgeons, radiologists and Siemens with the aim of setting up various sites for a future mulit-site trials in the breast program. Nathan Tosh interfaces with the local psychiatrists, paediatricians and the Australian and United States Departments of Defense; Julia Watson collaborates with various pain clinics, physiotherapists and emergency departments. Xin Dong interfaces with the cardiology, endocrinology, haematology, and radiation oncology departments at the PA Hospital.
