Fresh Science
Drinks, food, fireworks and science. Come and watch as fresh, young scientists present their work at a pub event with a difference. Held in the QUT Atrium, P-Block Level 6, Science and Engineering Centre, QUT Gardens Point Campus on Wednesday 6th November. Kicking off at 6:30pm, the ten young scientists will describe their scientific discoveries in the time it takes a party sparkler to burn out.
Over one hundred early-career scientists around Australia nominated for Fresh Science 2019. You’ll be meeting the ten selected for Fresh Science QLD. They'll tell us about their discoveries and you'll have the chance to ask them more.
Tickets are free but bookings are essential. Finger food provided and drinks available at pub prices.
Fresh Science 2019 is an initiative of Science in Public. Last year, TRI based researchers, Dr Nathalie Bock (QUT), Farhana Matin (QUT) and Dr Arutha Kulasinghe (QUT), participated in the event and all three placed in the top ten.
