Dr Jyotsna Batra wins cure cancer award
2016 TRI Spore Grant winner, QUT’s Dr Jyotsna Batra, won a Cure Cancer award last night at the Australia's Researcher Showcase and 50th birthday Celebration.
The event was hosted by Lyndey Milan OAM with keynote speaker and Australian of the Year, Alan Mackay-Sim and the "Star Alumni" panel interviewed by journalist Deborah Hutton which included Professor Martin Tattersall AO, TRI based Professor Pamela Russell AM, Professor Roger Reddel, TRI CEO Professor Carolyn Mountford and TRI board member Professor Robyn Ward AM.
Dr Jyotsna Batra's work looks at Novel MicroRNA's as potential targets for treating prostate cancer, winning the award for the abstract titled "The long and short of a GWAS identified long noncoding RNA".
