The Translational Research Institute (TRI) is a unique, Australian-first initiative of ‘bench to bedside’ medical research. TRI combines clinical and translational research to advance progress from laboratory discovery to application in the community. TRI brings together clinicians and scientists of the four institutions who were its founding partners; The University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology, Mater Medical Research Institute and Queensland Health.
At TRI you can undertake your honours project or PhD in the following areas of research:

Research Higher Degree study
Undertaking a research higher degree (RHD), either an MPhil or PhD, at TRI gives you the opportunity to make a significant contribution to knowledge and research by developing new ideas, or new ways of approaching existing problems.

High School students - Sparq-ed
SPARQ-ed (Students Performing Advanced Research Queensland) has been delivering world-class science education programs since 2009. Launched by TRI CEO and Director of Research, Prof Ian Frazer, the program aims to actively inspire young Queenslanders to pursue careers in the sciences.
