The Leading Innovations through New Collaborations (LINC) program provides dedicated funding for new research collaborations between early to mid-career researchers based at TRI and clinicians based at Metro South Health, Mater or the Children's Health Queensland (Oncology Department). The scheme offers $50,000 grants, to foster new, translational research collaborations between researchers and clinicians.
The LINC Scheme offers successful applicants $50,000 over two years to develop a novel, collaborative research project focused on meeting a clinical need as well as obtaining preliminary proof-of-concept data. Projects must be led jointly by an early to mid-career researcher based at the Translational Research Institute and a clinician employed at Mater Health or an early to mid-career clinician employed by either Metro South Health or Children's Health Queensland (Oncology Department).

Clinician-researcher networking events
TRI runs networking events throughout the year to provide clinicians and researchers with an opportunity to meet and learn more about each other's research areas and collaboration opportunities.
Prior to these events, TRI ran the LINC Showcase, which provided clinicians and researchers with a unique opportunity to pitch their ideas for research projects to address clinical dilemmas or research challenges, but for which they require collaborators.
