TRI Forum One
The first of the TRI Forums, held in the Auditorium on Tuesday 19 February, was titled “Success needs multiple perspectives with a unity of purpose: How do we achieve this in Queensland?”. Acting CEO of Trade and Investment Queensland, Paul Martyn chaired the event with the TRI CEO and Director of Research Carolyn Mountford opening discussions for a more unified approach to funding and collaboration.
The Forum featured presentations from TRI’s partner institutes, who gave their perspectives on the topic and participated in a Q&A session with the audience. The presenters included:
- Professor Geoff McColl Executive Dean, Faculty of Medicine, UQ;
- Professor Gerald Holtmann Director of Clinical Innovation, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Health and Behavioural Sciences, UQ, Director of Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, PA Hospital;
- Professor Lyn Griffiths, Executive Director, Institute of Health Biomedical Innovation, QUT;
- David Hoey, CEO, Vaxxas;
- Professor Maher Gandhi, Director, Mater Research
