Street Science Wrap Up
Street Science and the World Science Festival Brisbane is complete for another year.
For two days on 24-25 March the South Bank precint was packed with people visiting exhibitor booths with engaging science activities.
It was a fantastic event, free for the public, giving them the ability to immerse themselves into the science world, with a main focus on getting young children interested in science.
The TRI stand was a hive of activity with 3D printing, microscopes, and Green Fluorescent Protien experiments that brought real life lab work to the masses. Visitors got to touch a feel real 3D printed samples of what would be implanted into humans and see the 3D printer in action.
Thank you to the SPARQ-Ed team (UQ) and the 3D printing team (QUT's Institute of Health and Biomedical Innovation, Science and Engineering Faculty)
And thank you to our ten volunteers who worked tirelessly across the weekend.
