QLD premier & TRI to Attend bio2018 in boston
One of the world's largest innovation conferences, BIO2018, will be starting on Monday the 4th in Boston, USA.
The Queensland Premier, Annastacia Palaszczuk, will be attending the four day conference, along with TRI CEO Professor Carolyn Mountford and over 100 representatives from Queensland.
Regarding her visit to Boston the Premier said "Queensland’s track record at BIO is a display of sustained excellence. It has resulted in partnerships such as the University of Queensland Emory Drug Discovery Initiative, the Johnson & Johnson Innovation Partnering Office at the Queensland University of Technology and the partnership between Siemens Healthcare and the Translational Research Institute. This year, we will have well over 100 delegates attending from Queensland as a testament to the importance of this event to our state’s future economic development."
The Premier will also visit Japan prior to this as a part of a wider trade mission that will take in Tokyo, Boston, and Los Angeles. The visits will work on expanding Queensland's export and job opportunities in agriculture, biomedical research and technology, autonomous technology and film productions.
